A SWIM SHARED...

...is twice as good. It doesn't happen often but we found a nice peg at Jubilee today with room to do it. It was sheltered as well from what turned out to be a chilly wind giving the sun a chance to warm things up.

A couple of nice perch of 3/4lbs for Pete..

...and a couple of goers for me.

We settled in, Pete to the left fishing maggots on the waggler, me to the right putting 'Old Marmalade' to work on hemp, tares and wheat. Amazingly, we caught from the off and had a grand morning catching silvers. I probably had the biggest, a pound and a quarter hybrid, but Pete had the most and the best, a one pound roach. It really was nice to sit within chatting distance catching fish after fish. Hopefully we'll get the chance to do so again, but there are precious few swims at Jubilee with enough room. An ordinary, unremarkable day in the scheme of things, but one that brings a great deal of pleasure beyond the results.

Pete's best roach one pound exactly.
